01 - Combine diced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until strawberries break down and release their juices forming a thick syrup. Mash softened berries lightly with a fork to enhance texture. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely to room temperature.
02 - Distribute cooled strawberry sauce evenly between two tall glasses, ensuring each receives an equal portion of the fruity base.
03 - Place 2-3 slices of fresh strawberries against the inside of each glass. This provides visual appeal and adds bursts of fresh fruit texture when drinking.
04 - Slowly pour 1 cup of cold milk into each glass over the strawberry sauce. Adding ice cubes before pouring keeps the drink colder for longer.
05 - Stir gently once or twice with a long spoon to create swirling patterns between the red sauce and white milk. Serve immediately while cold.
